Radiant Heart Yoga offers workshops on different topics throughout the year. Offerings include: meditation, childbirth classes, YogaKids workshops for adults, and other specialty yoga classes.


Comfort Measures for Childbirth

$95 per couple/$75 for current RHY prenatal students

Comfort Measures for Childbirth is a 1 day/3 hour workshop that focuses on comfort techniques to help with the common challenges of labor. This class compliments ANY childbirth class and can expand on what as learned in "express" childbirth classes. The class is for first time parents, experienced parents who need a refresher, or VBAC parents. This class is appropriate for those seeking medicated or unmedicated births.
This workshop will include hands-on learning and experience with massage, breathing, positions for labor and each stage of labor/birth, visualizations, sound, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, heat/cold. acupressure, and how to make the best use of hospital room supplies.




Breastfeeding Class

Not the regular breastfeeding class for expectant couples!  Beth Bejnarowicz, is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Postpartum Doula and owner of BBbabies, is leading this nontraditional breastfeeding class to get couples off to a great start with breastfeeding. In this class couples will learn: how to get mom and baby together, triggering your baby's and mom's instincts, how your partner is your ally in breastfeeding, laid-back breastfeeding, knowing your baby is getting enough, trusting baby, trusting yourself




Babywearing 101
Saturday March 3, 2012
3pm-5pm
$25 per family

In this hands-on workshop you'll learn how to safely wear your baby while supporting the natural and healthy development of baby's hips and spine. We'll review the pros and cons of different carriers on the market, and you'll have the chance to try out several carriers. Carriers will be provided, but feel free to bring your own along if you have questions or need help. Partners, babies and siblings are all welcome - bring the whole family!

About the Instructor: Jasmine Sassack is the mother of two young children and owner of Carry Me, Inc., a baby carrier lending service. She is currently studying to become a Certified Babywearing Educator through the Babywearing Institute. Jasmine has helped many parents find safe and supportive carriers which make caring for and bonding with their baby an easier and more enjoyable experience for everyone.

If you should choose to rent a carrier from Carry Me, $10 of your registration fee will be applied to your first rental!
